The Brighter Side When Does It All Start
Hello my name is Schilo 67 and I am an addict. I am going to talk about In Patient or Out Patient Treatment? Rehabs or no Rehabs. I have seen my share of the insides of a few treatment centers. Although I still used after most of them! I look back now and think. I did get something out of each and every one of them.
To say that I didn’t would be quite wrong. Whether it be a word a step or a tool.Getting back to the differences between out-patient and in-patient treatment. In patient if your a long term user you would want to fo in patient due to the fact that your better supported as far as withdrawals. Intensity level is higher Food quality is much better Ideally your going to eat everything in sight!
Most rehabs encourage you to eat and eat. Support wise it may be good to be in the rehab setting your family may trigger your addiction So here’s a list of the plus side to inpatient
- COMPLETE MEDICAL CARE
- COMPLETE SUPPORT
- COMPLETE SUPPORT
- COMPLETE FOCUS ON YOUR RECOVERY
Now the plus sides to outpatient
1.BEING ABLE TO KEEP WORKING.
2.KEEPING THE COST DOWN
3.SUPPORT OF FAMILY MEMBERS.
So looking at both they have there advantages and disadvantages. It’s really up to the individual and the environment in which you are in. There is also the alternative of doing an aftercare program which is like outpatient program Most rehabs offer after care. Which is critical to keep your sobriety. The bottom line is this IF YOUR GOING TO QUIT YOUR GONNA QUIT.
No matter how much time you spend in a rehab in patient or out patient if your not ready your not ready. Lastly all say this in all the articles that I have read only several of them ever mentioned the 12 step programs that are absolutely free.A.A. N.A. C.A. These are probably the most important pieces of the puzzle to your sobriety.
And with that my fellow brothers and sisters you keep your head up cause you might bump into something.
